Ingredients
Carrots, peeled and chopped (Shown are multi-colored baby carrots, sliced)
1Tbsp butter or oil
1 Tbsp honey
1/2 tsp. salt
Tools
skillet
spoon or spatula
Steps
1. Melt the butter in the pan on medium heat.
2. Add the carrots
3. Stirring often, saute the carrots in the butter until some of the carrots start to show a little bit of browning. I tried to show it in the picture below. This usually takes about 5 minutes. Depends on how many carrots you're trying to do at once, and on the size of your pan.
5. Once the carrots reach their desired texture (I don't like mushy carrots, so this only takes about 3 minutes for me), turn the heat down to low and remove the lid.
6. Add the honey and salt. Stir.
4. Once some of the carrots start to show their color, put a lid on the pan to finish the carrots via steaming rather than sauteing.
5. Once the carrots reach their desired texture (I don't like mushy carrots, so this only takes about 3 minutes for me), turn the heat down to low and remove the lid.
6. Add the honey and salt. Stir.
7. Serve and enjoy!
Variations
1. Add 1/2 tsp of powdered ginger with the salt.
